Additional Guest Charges
For by-the-room bookings, our rates are per room, per night based on double occupancy. Additional charges apply for guests beyond the standard occupancy—please inquire for details.
For full-lodge buyouts, our rates are per night based on a standard 14-person occupancy, with a maximum of 16 guests. Additional charges apply for guests exceeding the standard occupancy—please inquire for details.
Travel Insurance
Eleven’s Cancellation Policies are strictly enforced. All cancellations are subject to our Deposit and Cancellation Policies, including but not limited to, those caused by events beyond our control—such as weather, travel disruptions, injury, illness, or conditions that do not meet your personal preferences or expectations. Eleven does not provide refunds, credits, or trip date changes under any circumstances. To protect your investment, we strongly recommend purchasing “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) travel insurance for all Eleven trips. CFAR coverage provides flexibility beyond standard covered reasons, allowing you to cancel pre-trip for nearly any reason—giving you control and peace of mind if plans or conditions change unexpectedly. CFAR coverage must be purchased within 20 days of initial deposit payment. Eleven can help you obtain an insurance quote through Global Rescue. Waivers
Prior to participating in any guided activities, you will be required to review and acknowledge the applicable activity waiver for your specific property and experiences; a full list of activity waivers can be found here.

Check-in / Check-out
Our check-in time at Rio Palena Lodge is 4:00 PM, and check-out time is at 10:00 AM. Please be aware that early and late checkouts are subject to availability and can only be confirmed 24 hours prior to your arrival.
Alcohol Policy
House beer and wine is included in your stay at Rio Palena Lodge. We offer an additional alcohol menu for purchase. Please refrain from bringing your own alcohol onto the premises, as it does not comply with our liquor license.
Gratuity
Should you wish to leave a gratuity for our staff, we can add it to your final bill and charge your card on file at checkout. Gratuity is shared amongst our team members, and your generosity is greatly appreciated. Suggested tipping amounts are 10%, 12%, 15% or you can leave a custom amount.
Third-Party Disclosure
Eleven Experience acts solely as a facilitator and does not operate or control the helicopter services. The client agrees that all services are provided by a third-party operator, and any claims must be directed to the service provider.
Getting Here Details
By Plane:
Travel to the lodge offers two primary options: private charter or commercial flights.
- Private charters, available from Santiago and Puerto Montt, are a convenient choice for shortening your journey, enabling same-day arrival at the lodge. For those interested in private chartering, our Eleven Experience Planners are ready to assist in coordinating your logistics
- Commercial flights, while equally accessible, typically require an overnight stay in Santiago or Puerto Varas, located just 20 minutes from PMC. To ensure a seamless experience, international travelers should aim to arrive in Chile one day before their check-in date. If you’re planning to fly commercially, our Experience Planners can provide accommodation recommendations in Santiago or Puerto Varas
Additional Options:
Santiago International Airport (SCL) offers a route to Puerto Montt El Tepual (PMC), while passengers flying into Puerto Montt Marcel Marchant La Paloma (SCPF) have the choice of two routes: either to Chaiten (WCH) followed by a 45-minute heli transfer or a 2.5 to 3-hour drive to the lodge.
