Our ski guides are international industry professionals. They’ve got the terrain and conditions dialed, and specialize in curating every descent to your ambitions while safely helping you progress your skills.
Mike Barney
Mike Barney is a veteran Ski and Adventure Guide for Eleven, splitting his time between Chile and Iceland. With over 20 years of guiding experience—including 12 years with Eleven—he’s passionate about exploring Patagonia and sharing unforgettable mountain experiences with guests.
Claudio Iglesias
Claudio Iglesias brings decades of experience as a guide and ski instructor in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Claudio is the Heli-Ski Operations Manager at Deplar Farm and also a key player in our Patagonia operations. A true global citizen, when Claudio is not heli-skiing around the world he enjoys spending time with his family and playing with legos.
Mark Hirst
A global whitewater guide since 1994, Mark brings decades of rescue and expedition experience to Deplar Farm. Now based in northern Iceland, he loves sharing raw landscapes and real adventure with guests.
Gregor Gabl
Gregor “Greg” Gabl is a Guide at Eleven’s Deplar Farm. Originally from Tirol, Austria, he brings decades of alpine experience and a lifelong connection to the mountains to his work in Iceland.
Robert McGillicuddy
Robert “Rob” McGillicuddy is a Heli-Ski and Fly-Fishing Guide for Eleven. Splitting his time between Germany and Bozeman, Montana, he brings decades of experience guiding in some of the world’s most iconic mountain and river destinations—from Alaska to Iceland.
Jessa Gilbert
Jessa Gilbert is a Guide for Eleven, currently guiding at Eleven Revelstoke Lodge. Based in Squamish, BC, and originally from upstate New York, she brings a background as a professional artist and freeride snowboarder to her work—celebrating adventure, creativity, and time spent in the mountains.
Matt Avolio
Matthew “Matt” Avolio is a Ski Guide at Eleven Revelstoke Lodge. Originally from Ontario and now based in Revelstoke, he brings nearly two decades of mountain experience—from heli-skiing and cat skiing to wildfire and forestry work—paired with a deep passion for the outdoors.
Levi Lawrence
Levi Lawrence is a ski guide with Eight years of experience. He brings a passion for deep powder, fun adventures, and helping guests make every run unforgettable.
Thomas Lindsey
Originally from Texas, Tomas—aka Juice—is now a Crested Butte-based ski, bike, and river guide who lives to share the stoke and chase powder, pedal, and flow.
Megan Paden
Megan Paden has spent 25+ years in the mountains, from ski patrol to avalanche forecasting. Based in Crested Butte, she guides for Eleven at Irwin, Rio Palena Lodge, and Deplar Farm. Off the slopes, she enjoys adventuring with family, gardening, and working with her horses.
Mark Robbins
Mark Robbins is a seasoned guide based in Crested Butte, with over 15 years coaching freeride skiing and exploring Irwin’s legendary powder. A certified PSIA instructor and IFSA coach, he brings deep local knowledge and a passion for sharing Irwin’s wild, uncrowded terrain.
Mars Charlebois
Marissa “Mars” Charlebois is a ski guide at Irwin, known for her enthusiasm, environmental advocacy, and love of big mountain terrain.
Jimmy Tart
Jimmy Tart is a ski guide with nearly 30 seasons of patrolling, avalanche education, and backcountry guiding experience.
Elise Brizes
Elise Brizes is a cat skiing and backcountry guide based in Crested Butte. With a background in engineering and avalanche education, she brings both technical skill and contagious energy to the mountains. When she’s not guiding, she’s outside, writing to friends, or hanging with her two cats, Remy and Ru.
Francisco Arancibia
Francisco “Bambino” Arancibia is a ski guide based in Revelstoke, BC. Originally from Chile, he brings experience from both the Chilean Andes and the Canadian Rockies.

Eleven Deplar Farm
