Overview
The Tarentaise Valley brings you the best of the Alps, with glacier-capped peaks and charming villages rich with French culture. Set high in the hamlet of Le Miroir, our chalets are close to seven world-class ski resorts and summer climbing, biking, and rafting. With Italy as a close neighbor, you’ll also enjoy Italian food and heli-skiing right next door.

Custom-Tailored Adventures in the French Alps
Located near the Italian and Swiss borders, and close to iconic destinations like Mont Blanc and Chamonix, our location in the French Alps is a hub for skiing, climbing, biking, hiking, and more.
Hiking
Head out with our knowledgeable guides to hike past pristine lakes in glacial valleys, waterfalls hidden in alpine forests, and historic forts tucked away in the hillsides. Keep your eyes peeled for marmots, chamois, ibex, and wild girolles mushrooms. This activity is included in your stay.
Hut-to-Hut Experience
Eleven’s two-night guided hut trip takes eight guests from the chalet to our two mountain huts deep in the Alps. Hike through France and Italy’s remote landscapes, enjoying chef-prepared meals and bunk-style accommodations. We can also personalize your route with e-biking, glacier trekking, and more. This activity is an additional fee.
Off-Piste Skiing
Head to the nearby resorts and hop on a ski lift to access backcountry routes like the forests of Sainte Foy, glacier runs in Tignes, and The Lost Valley in Val d’Isère. Our guides will take you to the right spots based on your skill level. This activity is included in your stay.
Mountain Biking
Ride some of the world’s best-known downhill mountain biking tracks in Tignes, Val D’Isère, or Les Arcs. With plenty of options for all levels, you can lap downhill tracks all day with easy lift access. This activity is included in your stay.
On-Piste Skiing
The chalets offer quick access to seven of the globe’s best ski resorts, including Val d’Isère, Tignes, and Les Arcs. From beginner to expert-only runs, the terrain is extensive and the après scene is the best there is. The longest run in Europe—7 kilometers—faces the chalets’ balconies. This activity is included in your stay.
Via Ferrata
Via ferrata offers an excellent introduction to safe, fun rock climbing. Led by a seasoned guide, follow a steel cable up a series of ladders that are fixed to a rock face and take in the views. This activity is included in your stay.
E-biking
Explore the landscapes of the Alps with ease on our fleet of industry-leading e-bikes. Ride cross country on single track through forests and open meadows, or pedal leisurely along abandoned alpine roads. This activity is included in your stay.
Heli-Skiing
Because Italy is right next door, heli-skiing from the chalet is a must. We’re located near three different heli-ski bases which access more than 40 descents. Our guides are local experts, and the runs average 1,000 meters. This activity is an additional fee.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoe into the wilderness directly from the chalet, or head out from one of the local ski resorts where you can utilize the ski lift to quickly gain elevation. Options are plentiful, including easy 30-minute walks, full-day hikes, and challenging 1,200-meter climbs. This activity is included in your stay.
Canyoning
Glide along natural canyon slides, jump into basins of deep water, and swim under waterfalls on this unique aquatic adventure. Our guides will equip you with a neoprene wetsuit for comfort and show you the way. This activity is included in your stay.
Ski Touring
The Tarentaise Valley offers diverse ski touring options, from forest routes and high alpine climbs to easier tours suitable for first time ski tourers. Your private guide will find appropriate terrain for each guest’s level and expectations. This activity is included with your stay; however, some elements of your specific itinerary may incur an additional fee.
Whitewater Rafting
This exciting adventure gets your adrenaline pumping on 18 kilometers of Class-3 and Class-4 whitewater rapids on the Isère River. A wetsuit and neoprene boots will keep you insulated from glacial waters. This activity is included in your stay.
Mont Blanc Heli-Tour
Fly out in a heli for a scenic tour of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps. You’ll spend 30 minutes flying over the peak's glaciers and neighboring mountains, and get the chance to view rarely seen alpine lakes. This activity is an additional fee.
Overnight Outpost Experience
Hike or bike into the heart of the Alps to our remote mountain outpost, where you’ll be greeted with a chef-prepared meal, bunk-style accommodations, and modern-day comforts. Additional day trips can include hiking, glacier trekking, via cordata, and more. Single- or double-night stays can be accommodated. This activity is an additional fee.
Alpine Evening at the Alpage
In summer, hike or e-bike into the Alps; in winter, snowshoe or hike to a remote backcountry outpost for an unforgettable evening. Once a traditional sheep herders’ hut, this historic space has been thoughtfully reimagined to offer a warm, intimate dining experience—complete with sunset cocktails, fireside fondue, and a candlelit, chef-prepared meal beneath dramatic mountain peaks.

Jean-Noël Gaidet
Jean-Noël Gaidet is a IFMGA mountain guide based in Sainte Foy, France. With 24 years of guiding experience, he leads skiing, heliskiing, and alpine adventures across Europe and Iceland.
Jessica Chelaouchi
Jessica Chelaouchi is a hiking guide and yoga instructor based in Tarentaise. She specializes in connecting guests with nature through hiking, wellness, and family-friendly adventures.
Antoine Ollivier
Antoine Ollivier is a ski guide who splits his winters between the French Alps and Deplar Farm, Iceland. His passion is finding the best powder lines and sharing unforgettable ski days with guests.
Benjamin Bucci
A native of Vercors and raised in Bourg St Maurice, Ben specializes in off-piste skiing, climbing, and canyoning. Passionate about sharing the beauty of wild landscapes, their most memorable moment was descending the Ruitor in untouched powder, under a clear blue sky—an experience of pure freedom.
Adventure Outposts Deep in the French Alps
Once shepherds’ huts, our historic outposts offer an immersive sense of place unique to the Savoie region. Reachable by foot, bike, or ski, the Refuge les Mollettes and The Alpage host après bonfires, candlelit dinners, and overnight adventures. Rifugio Valgrisenche is just across the border in Italy for a hut-to-hut tour.
