The Lodge
ABOUT THE PROPERTY
Anyone who visits Crested Butte, Colorado leaves with mountain-town envy. Full of historic charm and soulful spirit, the old mining town is home to Eleven®’s flagship property, Scarp Ridge Lodge.
The former Croatian saloon still has its Wild West facade, but the interiors have been transformed with reclaimed iron from the old mills in town and generous amenities, like an indoor saltwater pool and rooftop hot tub. With just six bedrooms, the intimate size of the property allows for quality time and personalized service for a small group of friends or family. If you need an outdoor fix, Crested Butte is the place to get it. Considered a mountain biking mecca, the area boasts the most stunning single track system in the U.S. with more than 750 miles of trails to be explored. Hike or bike through alpine meadows carpeted in technicolor blooms, or forested trails canopied in autumnal gold. There’s no set itinerary. Each day you choose your own adventure, from float trips where you’ll stalk rainbow trout, to afternoons rock climbing the high granite cliffs of the Taylor Canyon. Guests can combine their stay with a few nights at Eleven’s sister property, the fishing-centric Taylor River Lodge, just 30 minutes away.
At Eleven, we pride ourselves on searching out authentic locations that are far from population centers and off the beaten track. Crested Butte, Colorado is a small, “end of the road” mountain town with minimal through traffic. Scarp Ridge Lodge can be accessed via commercial or private flights into nearby Gunnison County and is within driving distance from many of the surrounding states.
