Our summer rates are per night based on up to 8 guests, with a maximum capacity of 10. Additional charges apply for additional guests—please inquire for details.
Travel Insurance
Due to our unique product and strict cancellation policies, we strongly recommend purchasing 'Cancel For Any Reason' (CFAR) travel insurance to protect your investment. As an incentive for you to purchase CFAR insurance coverage, Eleven is offering you a 1% credit based on the total cost of your stay with Eleven. Your credit may be used during your stay for wellness services, additional activities, transportation, and non-included beverages. Please let us know if you would like us to connect you with our preferred insurance partner, Global Rescue, to provide you with a quote once your trip has been confirmed.

Check-in / Check-out
Our check-in time at Sopris House is 4:00 PM, and check-out time is 10:00 AM. Please be aware that early and late checkouts are subject to availability and can only be confirmed 24 hours prior to your arrival.
Alcohol Policy
Sopris House does not have a liquor license to provide or serve alcohol. We encourage you to bring your favorite beverages with you. If you’d like the convenience of having the Sopris Bar stocked with your preferred liquor, wine, and beer, we’re here to assist. Simply get in touch with your Experience Team, share your beverage preferences, and provide your credit card details. We’ll take care of the rest, ensuring your choices are waiting for you upon your arrival.
Pet Policy
We’re delighted to welcome one dog per night at Sopris House. Prior approval from your Experience Team is required for your dog. Dogs must stay in the owner’s private accommodations and may only access common areas with staff permission. When outside accommodations, dogs must be leashed and accompanied by the owner. Please note that our staff cannot provide dog-walking or sitting services during your stay. For dog-sitting/walking options, inquire with our Sales or Experience Team. A $100.00 per night cleaning fee will be added to your final invoice.
Parking
Complimentary parking and a Tesla charging station are available in our private gravel lot and along the streets of Crested Butte. If you require more information about parking, please don’t hesitate to inquire with your Experience Team.
Gratuity
Should you wish to leave a gratuity for our staff, we can add it to your final bill and charge your card on file at checkout. Gratuity is shared amongst our team members, and your generosity is greatly appreciated. Suggested tipping amounts are 10%, 12%, 15% or you can leave a custom amount.
Public and Private Lands Disclosure
Eleven and Irwin Guides operate under a variety of permits and authorizations to provide guided outdoor experiences on both public and private lands. Our operations are conducted in compliance with all applicable regulations to ensure responsible and sustainable use of these lands.
Our permits include, but are not limited to, authorizations from: National Park Service (NPS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), the Crested Butte Land Trust, the Town of Crested Butte, and other private landowners and local authorities.
By partnering with federal, state, and private land management agencies, we ensure that all our activities are conducted legally and responsibly. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of these areas while providing unforgettable backcountry experiences.

Getting Here Details
By Plane:
We recommend flying into Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) or Gunnison Private Airport (KGUC), both located approximately 30 minutes from Sopris House.
Alternatively, nearby airports include Montrose (MTJ), which is a 90-minute drive west, and Denver, requiring a 4.5-hour drive.

It’s important to note that Eleven airport shuttles to the lodge are not included and must be booked with your Experience Team in advance of your arrival.
