Travel Insurance
Due to our unique product and strict cancellation policies, we strongly recommend purchasing 'Cancel For Any Reason' (CFAR) travel insurance to protect your investment. Please let us know if you would like us to connect you with our preferred insurance partner, Global Rescue, to provide you with a quote once your trip has been confirmed.

Fishing License
Each guest will be required to hold a non-resident full season license. You can purchase it prior to your arrival at www.fishandgame.org. nz, or we can arrange this at the lodge when you arrive. You will be fishing the Otago area while fishing with us. This license will allow you to fish anywhere in New Zealand except for the Taupo Region. This license will then be used to purchase daily designated waters licenses, which are required to fish some of the fisheries we access from the lodge. Once each day’s itinerary is confirmed, the lodge team will handle the purchase of these licenses, which cost $40 per person per day. You will be charged any fees incurred at the end of your stay.
Check-in / Check-out
Our check-in time at Owen River Lodge is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is at 10:00 AM. Please be aware that early and late checkouts are subject to availability and can only be confirmed 24 hours prior to your arrival.
Third-Party Disclosure
Eleven Experience acts solely as a facilitator and does not operate or control the helicopter services. The client agrees that all services are provided by a third-party operator, and any claims must be directed to the service provider.
Getting Here Details
International Flight into Auckland:
For guests traveling from the USA, please note that you will cross the International Date Line during your flight. Make sure to plan accordingly to account for the time difference.
Domestic Flight into Nelson or Christchurch:
From Auckland, guests will get a domestic flight into Nelson which is 90 minutes from the lodge or into Christchurch which is 4 hours from the lodge. From Nelson or Christchurch, you have several options for reaching your final destination. You can reserve a vehicle through Eleven, choose to self-drive, or opt for a shuttle service.
