Best experienced from late June through late September, the hike starts at the legendary Maroon Bells hike trailhead just outside of Aspen. The trail meanders through forests, along creeks and beautiful alpine lakes, over a rugged pass, and most notably, through the wildflower capital of Colorado.   • The average hike time is 6 hours, but the duration heavily depends on fitness and conditions.
